BIOENGINEERING AND MEDTECH AGAINST CANCER

Date: Nov 24th & 25th

Location: Online

Organizer: Medicen Paris Region & Biocat

Speaker: Stéphanie Descroix

IBEC, Medicen Paris Region and the european cluster Biocat have joined forces to organize an event bringing together the Medtech and Biotech players in the fight against cancer: the first Bioengineering and MedTech against cancer. This virtual free event will bring together international experts to present technological advances, future trends and opportunities to fight against cancer using bioengineering and MedTech. Several topics will be covered such as: liquid biopsy, tumor on chip, mechanobiology, Car-T therapy and targeted drug delivery.

The event also aims to identify and federate startups, potential entrepreneurs (at the proof of concept stage) and project holders, in the field of oncology, in order to pitch their innovations in front of experts. The 12 selected projects that have been selected will pitch their innovations, on November 25th, in front of a jury of multidisciplinary experts: industrials, academics and investors. This is an opportunity to have constructive feedback about regulatory aspects, business plan, market access and IP protection.

10:30 AM - 11:30 AM: Tumor-on-chip – a 3D tool for precision oncology

On the occasion, Stéphanie Descroix, CNRS Research Director & Head of the Macromolecules and Microsystems in Biology and Medicine Team at Institut Curie, will be sharing her expertise on Tumor-on-chip, a 3D tool for precision oncology.
