Alvéole
Alvéole is specialized in devices for controlling the cellular microenvironment. The company provides research laboratories with tools for creating more reliable and reproducible in vitro cell models.
Year of creation: 2010
Line of business: Scientific Instrumentation
Institut Curie: Behind the technology
TECHNOLOGY
PRIMO bioengineering technology gives cell biologists the flexibility they need to create and fine-tune in vitro cell microenvironments for more reliable and reproducible cell models. It relies on a contactless and maskless photopatterning module (PRIMO) and a dedicated software (Leonardo). The platform can be used to structure cell culture substrates through photopolymerization and to functionalize any cell culture substrate surfaces (stiff or soft, flat or microstructured) through micropatterning.
APPLICATIONS
Alvéole's technology allows to better study the behavior and development of living cells in a broad range of applications, such as: cytoskeleton dynamics, cell adhesion force measurement, cell confinement, cell migration, tissue engineering, spheroids.
