Avatar Medical
Born from Institut Curie's incubation program, AVATAR MEDICAL creates patient avatars to help surgeons prepare their surgeries. Its technology allows surgeons to navigate into interactive 3D patient avatars using virtual reality. Patient avatars specifically highlight structures that surgeons need to visualize (tumor, blood vessels, organs, etc.).

TECHNOLOGY
AVATAR MEDICAL technology instantly generates interactive 3D representations of patients based on standard medical images in an immersive virtual reality context.
The company uses virtual reality and Bayesian approaches to allow ultra-fluid navigation within medical image based patient avatars. Compatible with all tomographic image types, no data pretreatment is required. Its unique technology allows physicians to adjust patient representations in real-time and in virtual reality. AVATAR MEDICAL uses DIVA technology, developed jointly by Institut Curie and Institut Pasteur.
